Medicinal water bath
We offer a unique service in the region with the assistance of a specialist. You can enjoy the medicinal water in our indoor and outdoor pools.
Medicinal massage
Medicinal massage is massage which is offered with the goal of obtaining a therapeutic benefit. It differs from relaxation massage, performed to help someone relax. While medicinal massage is often relaxing, the end goal of the session or series of sessions is not relaxation. Therapeutic goals can vary considerably between massage therapists and clients. In some cases, massage is recommended by a health professional and may be performed as part of a larger treatment plan. For example, someone in physical therapy for an injury might have regular therapeutic massage to loosen muscles, improve muscle tone, and increase flexibility. Likewise, medicinal massage can be used to supplement wound care, cancer care, and a variety of other treatments. We use heal cream of the medicinal water of Harkány for this massage.
Electrotherapy
Electrotherapy is the use of electrical energy as a medical treatment. In medicine, the term electrotherapy can apply to a variety of treatments, including the use of electrical devices such as deep brain stimulators for neurological disease. The term has also been applied specifically to the use of electric current to speed wound healing. Additionally, the term "electrotherapy" or "electromagnetic therapy" has also been applied to a range of alternative medical devices and treatments. Electrotherapy is used for relaxation of muscle spasms, prevention and retardation of disuse atrophy, increase of local blood circulation, muscle rehabilitation and re-education electrical muscle stimulation, maintaining and increasing range of motion, management of chronic and intractable pain, post-traumatic acute pain, post surgical acute pain, immediate post-surgical stimulation of muscles to prevent venous thrombosis, wound healing and drug delivery.
Laser therapy
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a medical and veterinary treatment that uses low-level lasers or light-emitting diodes to alter cellular function. LLLT is controversial in mainstream medicine with ongoing research to determine the ideal location of treatment (specifically whether LLLT is more appropriately used over nerves versus joints), dose, wavelength, timing, pulsing and duration. The effects of LLLT appear to be limited to a specified set of wavelengths of laser, and administering LLLT below the dose range does not appear to be effective. Mostly it is effective in relieving short-term pain for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, acute and chronic neck pain, tendinopathy, and possibly chronic joint disorders. The evidence for LLLT being useful in the treatment of low back pain, dentistry and wound healing is equivocal.
Ultrasound .jpg)
Ultrasound has therapeutic applications, which can be highly beneficial when used with dosage precautions, like: According to RadiologyInfo, ultrasounds are useful in the detection of pelvic abnormalities and can involve techniques known as abdominal (transabdominal) ultrasound, vaginal (transvaginal or endovaginal) ultrasound in women, and also rectal (transrectal) ultrasound in men. Focused high-energy ultrasound pulses can be used to break calculi such as kidney stones and gallstones into fragments small enough to be passed from the body without undue difficulty, a process known as lithotripsy. Therapeutic ultrasound, a technique that uses more powerful ultrasound sources to generate cellular effects in soft tissue has fallen out of favor as research has shown a lack of efficacy and a lack of scientific basis for proposed biophysical effects. Ultrasound has been used in cancer treatment.
BEMER magnet therapy
Magnet therapy, magnetic therapy, or magnotherapy is an alternative medicine practice involving the use of static magnetic fields. Practitioners claim that subjecting certain parts of the body to magnetostatic fields produced by permanent magnets has beneficial health effects. Magnet therapy is considered pseudoscientific due to both physical and biological implausibility, as well as a lack of any established effect on health or healing.
Medicinal packs
We put medicines for different parts of the skin in form of cream or liquor for the purpose of causing local congestion. It is used for the body and peripheral joints, and has analgetic, anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant effects
Mud pack
Mud packs are spa treatments designed to slim and tone the body, hydrate or firm the skin, or relax and soothe the muscles. Some mud packs are also thought to relieve tired and aching joints, ease inflammation, and help to flush out toxins through sweating.
A layer of soothing mud is applied to the skin to detoxify, cleanse and firm. Mud is thought to ease water retention and cleanse the pores by drawing out impurities. Treatments come in varied packages, with one common factor: mummification, or being wrapped in bandages over the mud that has been applied.
Underwater jet massage
Hydrojet massage is a form of underwater pressure treatment in which you lie in a special bath. With waterjet massage, special nozzles shoot a stream of warm water at varying pressures. The advantage of waterjet massage is that these different pressures allow the treatment to reach different levels of the body from the skin to underlying muscle layers to the internal organs. This treatment can help to stimulate muscles without causing any strain on the heart. The curing takes 20 minutes.
Physiotherapy
Physical therapy (or physiotherapy), often abbreviated PT, is the art and science of physical care and rehabilitation. It is a primary care health profession, with physical therapists (or physiotherapists) providing services to individuals and populations to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan. This includes providing services in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease or environmental factors. Functional movement is central to what it means to be healthy. Physical therapy is concerned with identifying and maximising quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being. In our hotel we pay attention to the individual needs, as well.
Aqua-gym
Aqua-gym is accessible to everyone, without reference to age, sex, or bodyweight. This type of motion (sport) protects the joints, and helps maintaining our health condition. It relaxes and strenghtens at the same time.
