Medicinal water pools

You can enjoy the medicinal water in our indoor and outdoor pools. The 37°C pools with sulphur are the basis of balneotherapy.

Medicinal massage

Medicinal massage has effect on the skin, muscles, congestion, lymph flow, metabolism and nervous sytem. It helps to loosen muscles, improve muscle tone, increase flexibility, improve selfhealing and quickens circulation. This massage can be recommended by our rheumatologist as a part of physical therapy. We use cream made of the medicinal water of Harkány for this massage.

Underwater Jet Massage (Tangentor)

Underwater jet massage is a form of underwater pressure treatment in which you lie in a special bath. This treatment is done with a strength-adjustable, directional water jet in a special bath filled with 35-37°C water. It strengthens the muscles, improves blood circulation and restores the skin’s condition. Moreover, it has a refreshing, conditioning effect on the full body. This treatment can help to stimulate muscles without causing any strain on the heart

 

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy is the use of electrical energy as a medical treatment. Electrotherapy is used for relaxation of muscle spasms, prevention and retardation of disuse atrophy, increase of local blood circulation, muscle rehabilitation and re-education electrical muscle stimulation, maintaining and increasing range of motion, management of chronic and intractable pain, post-traumatic acute pain, post surgical acute pain, immediate post-surgical stimulation of muscles to prevent venous thrombosis, wound healing and drug delivery.

Laser therapy

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a medical and veterinary treatment that uses low-level lasers or light-emitting diodes to alter cellular function. The treatment carries out either on specific points, or larger areas using a laser scanner. Mostly it is effective in relieving short-term pain for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, acute and chronic neck pain, tendinopathy, and possibly chronic joint disorders. The laser therapy has a special bio-stimulating effect, mainly due to the fact that it resulting in a positive effect on the healing process. Excellent analgesic and anti-inflammatory treatment.The evidence for LLLT being useful in the treatment of low back pain, dentistry and wound healing is equivocal.

Ultrasound

Therapeutic ultrasound is a technique that uses more powerful ultrasound sources to generate cellular 
effects in soft tissues. It is recommended for degenerative and inflammatory diseases of the spinal and limb
 joints and for the reduction of muscle tension. This treatment increases circulation, reduces pain, 
loosens connective tissue, exfoliates.

BEMER therapy

BEMER physical vascular therapy, is an alternative medical treatment based on electromagnetic therapy. BEMER-therapy stimulates capillaries, namely microcirculation, thereby it activates the self-healing capacity of the body and supports essential regulatory processes. It provides tissues and organs with oxygen and nutrients, takes care of transferring metabolic end-products and of activating the immune system. The treatment improves cell regeneration, increases tissue oxygenation. Due to its exfoliating effect it promotes wound healing. Excellent for treating sports injuries, muscle strain, pain relief. It is also beneficial for sleep disorders and stress relief.

Spa wraps

During this treatment, medicines are applied to certain areas of the body in the form of cream to 
cause localized congestion. Generally, we apply them to the torso and peripheral joints. Due to their 
composition, it has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and muscle-relaxing effect.

Parafango packs

Parafago is a combination of dry mud, pure hard paraffin and paraffin oil. The mixture is melted and heated in a special unit, then applied to the problematic area of the body in a layer 1 cm  thick, just as it begins to harden at a temperature of between 50-55°C. The intensity of the heat is slightly lower than pure paraffin making it a more patient-friendly treatment. The local application of the heat relaxes the muscles, causing spasm release, easing chronic pain and supports the healing and nutrition of the tissues.

Physiotherapy

Physical therapy classes are designed to maintain or restore physical mobility capacities as well as to develop functional capabilities. A qualified physiotherapist conducts all individual therapeutic exercise sessions. The therapy includes active and passive movements, as well as mobilization and manipulation. Other methods may include visualization, active muscle contraction, active assisted movement and free active movement.

Aqua-gym

Aqua-gym is accessible to everyone, without reference to age, sex, or bodyweight. This type of sport protects the joints, and helps maintaining our health condition. It relaxes and strengthens the muscles at the same time.
